Unconscious Bias

A conversation about bias in society, and how together we can help counteract bias and level the playing field.

We all have bias, even if we’re not aware of it. It’s part of how our brains are wired: to categorize, simplify and stereotype. These shortcuts help us navigate all of the information we come across each day. But unconscious bias can also be dangerous. It can impact the possibilities available to us in our lives, and is also responsible for deepening inequities in our society — often along the lines of race, gender, class, sexuality, age, ability and culture. 

This is a conversation about unconscious bias and some of the things we can do together to help counteract harmful bias and level the playing field.
